Exploring Athens in My 1940s-Inspired Playsuit
During my trip to Greece two summers ago, I had the chance to explore Athens for two days. First thing first, I took a tour of the Parthenon in Athens's Acropolis. I wore this blue playsuit because its colors perfectly imitate the stereotypical Grecian colors. As I expected, it looked amazing next to the ancient Greek columns.
I love this particular playsuit from Topshop because it is so similar to the styles from the 1940s. My style in general is an eclectic mix of vintage pieces from various decades worn with modern clothes, but 1940s fashion is one of my favourites of all time. The silhouettes of the 40s are just so cheery and playful yet elegant; this playsuit is no exception.
The cross-over halter neckline of this playsuit emphasized my petite shoulders by making them look broader. The band at my waist combined with the A-line shape of the shorts was slimming as it brought the attention to my waist (and not my stomach) and highlighted the curves of my hips.
I got so many compliments on this playsuit during my time in Athens, and I love how it looks in all of my trip photos!
