10 Cowboy Boots to Put a Spring in Your Step in SS19
It's been no secret that cowboy boots are THE boot of 2019. They're popping up everywhere in fashion bloggers' feeds. Worn with jeans and a blazer or dressed up with a dress or midi skirt.
However, the cowboy boots of 2019 go beyond the traditional style. This year both designers and the high street have stepped it up and have made some edgy designs that will add a statement to any outfit.
The edgy detailing that make these boots such a great trend include intricate patterns in the leather (often in contrasting colours), mixing different leather textures, adding metal touches such as buckles and toe caps or studs. Some even have animal print to make them look even more trendy.
To make things easier for you, I've rounded up (pun was unintentional but I'm pretty pleased with it) my favourite ten high street cowboy boots of the season if you're wanting to give a pair a new home in your wardrobe. (Links to shop are non-affiliate).
The 10 best cowboy boots of SS19
1) Stradivarius Western Boots
These are the ones that I got and are pictured above. The reasons why I chose this pair are that for the lower price, I liked the style of these best. I personally wanted contrasting leather colours and the fact that these had snake print as well made them even more appealing. I also liked the rounded top making them look more traditional. Plus the shorter heel means I can wear them around the town all day.
2) Bronx Americana Western High Heeled Boots
Bronx has some really great pairs of cowboy boots. I love these because of the intricate design with the snake print leather. I think these will look amazing with a dress or a skirt. For an extra bit of edge, I can totally see this with a biker jacket. They also come in a lower heel version. I've seen ASOS sell these boots and a few other Bronx designs, but I recommend purchasing them off Zalando because they're heavily marked down there.
3) Bronx High Heeled Ankle Boots in Black/White
These boots are also gorgeous with the black and white contrasting details. Not only do the white and black leather add interest to the boots, but they also have black suede for an extra layer of goodness. These boots also have small studs that make them look even more fabulous with a buckle to boot (pun also intended). Again, I recommend getting these at Zalando where they're discounted. If the black and white leather contrast isn't to your taste and you're wanting a more subtle look, it also comes in all black leather/black suede.
Again, if you prefer a lower heel, Bronx has got you covered. I love how they give you the option!
5) Mango BOTA Kansas Cowboy Boot
This is a great option because it's still quite traditional of a style so it will stay in fashion longer. The tall height of the boot shaft will make this look great with skirts and dresses both in midi and mini lengths. The simplicity of this one will make it very easy to put outfits together but the tallness of the cowboy boot will still make a statement.

6) Office Kentucky Boots in black
I think these are great because they are simple but the metal cap toe makes them kick ass. These are the feminine version of steel toe boots and you're not going to want to mess with a lady wearing these. Plus I like the height of these cowboy boots as well as the rounded top. Bronx also has a similar style with an even bigger cap toe but for a bit of a bigger price. There is also a higher knee high version by Bronx as well that looks great.
7) Zara Suede Heeled Cowboy Boots
These Zara cowboy boots are less edgy and more glam. The tan suede makes them perfect for your neutral outfits but also makes them easy to style in Spring and later in Autumn. Wear them with your summer dresses and a cardigan for now, then wear them with a jumper and midi skirt in September.

8) Topshop Mario Western Boots
These western boots are perfect if you like the look of the steel covered toe but want something you can tuck into your jeans for a sleek look. Plus the contrasting stitching adds an extra punch to them. They also come in a nude colour that can make your legs look longer.

9) Office Arlo-R-Western Boots in Black
These are for the girl who wants a touch of the Western look but doesn't want to turn full cowgirl. These, through the silver piping, have the detailing traditional of a cowboy boot but that's about it. Otherwise it's a normal black ankle boot. They also come in silver with black piping for an alternative rocker chic look. And the best part? Office currently has them on sale for less than £20!

10) AMERICANA STUDS High-Heeled Ankle Boots
I love the studs that follow along the seams of this boot that give it a subtle statement.
