Top Ten Spring Zara Picks
Today is the first day that I've worn coral lipstick since September. I think this "heatwave" Newcastle has been experiencing since last week has made me eager for Spring. Today was 6 degrees Celcious (43 degrees Fahrenheit), so much warmer than it's been in the last few months. It has made me hopeful that Newcastle will continue to get warmer and soon! I'll just erase my memory of next week's cooler forecast to keep this hope ongoing. To honor Newcastle's warmer weather this week, I am starting a new series of blog posts selecting my top picks for Spring at various high street stores. I am doing all the tedious scrolling through endless web pages for you and providing you with the important pieces. Today, I am going to focus on Zara.
-My Top Ten Spring Zara Picks-
1) Woven Polo T-Shirt
This is probably my favorite of my picks. I think this will look sooo cute paired with trousers, jeans, or a skirt! You can wear a vest underneath during the day for work and switch it to a bralette in the evening for a night out. I think it's a unique shirt that will make any casual outfit instantly chic. Plus both of the color options are amazing! I can't decide on which one to get...probably the blue because it's my favorite color and I always end up choosing blue. Can't help myself. Which color would you choose?

2) Sky-Blue Studded Cross body Bag
Speaking about blue being my favorite color, I couldn't resist including this lovely little bag. I am a complete sucker for anything in a grayish-blueish hue. I love the stud detailing on the front giving this classy bag a bit of an edge. This bag is also the perfect size, not too big nor too small. Goldilocks approved! I don't like chain straps unless the top is of a sturdier material, so I'm glad this bag fits that standard. All in all, this bag will make a great addition to any wardrobe this Spring.

3) Plaid belted midi pencil skirt
What I love about this skirt is that it can be worn year-round. I'm all about stretching my dollars, and this way you get the biggest bang for your buck. It is also very reminiscent of pencil skirts of the 1950s, especially because of its large matching belt. What's great about 50s silhouettes is that they're flattering on everyone no matter your size. It's all about that hourglass figure. Wear this with a crisp white shirt for work, or dress it down with a t-shirt and fashion sneakers on the weekend. Either way, you're gonna look great.

4) Black basket handbag
I adore this cute little black basket handbag in their new collection. I have a vintage white one that is quite similar back home in Seattle. I miss it very much back home so I am thinking about getting this one for Spring. I love bags that hold their structure and this one will be able to stand on its own on the ground. Because of its hard material, this basket bag would be able to be set down without any problems. Unlike many basket bags, this one has a lid and a clasp so you things won't fall out (or get stolen while on holiday).

5) Red Cat Eye Sunglasses
I have always been a fan of red sunglasses (it appears I am a fan of the same pose every time as well haha). That is one thing that has stayed consistent in my ever evolving style. I was devastated when my little sister broke mine several years ago. So I was super excited when I found these babies at Zara. They will add a pop to any outfit...it's instant glam. Don't want to miss out on these lovely sunnies! Bonus? They also come in black and tortoise shell!

6) Woven handbag
Ok, ok. If you couldn't already tell, I have been obsessing over handbags. It's because I've left all my handbags in Seattle and I am desperate to make up for the loss. This would look perfect with a maxi dress and sandals in the summer on a beach holiday. I'm going to Morocco in May, so maybe this will make an appearance later on...

7) Front Zip Boots
I love the idea of a front zip boot. I think they're so edgy and fun while still being simple. I think this is a trend you could wear for years to come because it's not over the top. These babies are the perfect heel height so you can comfortably walk around all day. It's also got a bit of a platform and is a block heel for extra comfort. I am very tempted to get these...how many black boots is too many?

8) Check Belted Blazer
Ok, while this one doesn't scream "Spring," I do love this piece. What makes it special is that big belt that will define your waist. I think this will look so chic whether you wear it with trousers or a pencil skirt for work or with some jeans and flats for a more casual look. It's on the pricier side, but if you can afford it, I say go for it! They also have matching trousers for a complete look.
Price: £89.99—now on sale for £39.99!

9) Polka dot Slingbacks with bow
How amazing are these shoes?! I am absolutely in love with them. If Marie Antoinette were living in 2018, I daresay she'd definitely be strutting her stuff in these. These slingbacks will truly glam up any outfit. Polkadots are also a HUGE trend this Spring and these beauties will definitely cause some major shoe envy. They're so feminine and unique and can be dressed both up and down. Plus, they're a neutral so they'll go with just about anything! And they're under £30!

10) high waisted pink trousers with belt
Okay, saving one of the best for last! I was heartbroken when those beautiful pink satin trousers from H&M completely sold out in my size. But then I found these, which are the next best thing. They are very similar, and they come with their own matching belt (always a huge plus for me). Plus, they're £10 cheaper! These are definitely towards the top in my Spring wish list.
